Leslie Cook

Bio:

My educational experience coupled with my life journey has brought me to this beautiful space. Growing up in the Chicago-land area, my childhood was filled with adventures and bliss. As a young teenager, my life abruptly changed when my immediate family broke apart. Unbeknownst to me, this was the beginning of a life full of purpose. I am consistently striving to live a mindful, intentional life with a desire to help people live a life worth living.

I earned a Master’s Degree in both Rehabilitation Counseling and Criminal Justice to accompany my life’s education. I am Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Certified to enhance the toolbox necessary for addressing life’s issues with a sincere love for interpersonal effectiveness skills. I have extensive experience with families and kids in crisis, men and women in and recently out of the justice system, and women in residential treatment facilities.

My areas of strength and passion include addiction issues, family and couples conflict, personality disorders, and overall life skills. I have served as a Program Director, Curriculum Manager, Criminal Justice Liaison, Crisis Counselor, and a Special Agent for the Federal Government. My professional career up to this point has given me the ability to create and restructure curriculums and programs and to enjoy leading others in a team environment. The range of my experience has given me the resources to understand people’s needs. It is a true privilege to be considered a trusted leader and facilitator to help make positive changes in people’s lives and I look forward to helping guide you to your best life.
